At 5 years of age Christie's best friends were her Samoyed, Keta, and her Toy Fox Terrier, Sissy; Hense the kennel name d'Keta, meaning 'of Keta."
Dale and Christie had an assundry of dogs as their children grew, but once the children had left home Christie got her Samoyed whom she named Keta.
Loving the breed for its beauty and temperment, these characteristics have been paramount in the d'Keta breeding program. Carefully planned breedings with compatable pedigrees and health clearances have provided families with cherished family members for over 25 years.
d'Keta Samoyeds have competed in Conformation, Obedience, Herding, Sledding, Skijoring, Hiking, Weight Pull, Agility and Theraphy. Featured in the 2nd picture is Jamie at 7 weeks (ears just coming up). She was the lead dog on a sled team for many years and as a veteran enjoyed visiting nursing homes.
